Add-in Icons do not appear

If your add-in Icons are not appearing for All add-ins from the Microsoft store. This could be caused by a registry setting preventing the caching of HTTPS websites.


For Example, Our DQ for Excel™ Add-in would look like this:




1) Create / Update this Registry key

Path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings

Key: DisableCachingOfSSLPages

Type: DWORD

Value: 0


2) Clear Excel add-in Cache

Navigate to: File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Trusted Add-in Catalogs

And select the Next time Office starts, clear all previously-started web add-ins cache option.


3) Close all Excel instances and then open Excel


4) Re-add your add-ins (File> Get Add-Ins)


And thats it your add-ins should now have icons.
